Gunners reach Women’s Champions League semi-finals! Arsenal 2-0 Bayern Munich (with video) by Michelle

Arsenal Women delivered an outstanding performance at Emirates Stadium tonight as they faced off against Bayern Munich, in front of a Champions League crowd that broke all previous attendance records.

In the opening leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, despite dominating the second half and creating numerous scoring opportunities.

However, in the second leg at Emirates Stadium, the Gunners put on an impressive performance, dominating the game from start to finish and scoring two incredible goals in the first half courtesy of Maanum and Blackstenius. Unfortunately, Arsenal also faced two significant injuries during the match. Captain Kim Little was forced to leave the pitch within the first 10 minutes of the game, while Katie McCabe had to be substituted in the second half and required assistance to walk off the field.

A great game and the first time Arsenal have reached the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 10 years! Enjoy the highlights below:
