6 WSL and 2 Championship teams in final 8 for Vitality Women’s FA Cup quarter-finals by Michelle

The quarter-final draw took place last night on the BBC’s One Show and the results are in for who faces who in the next round!

Women’s Super League leaders Manchester United will travel to Lewes – the lowest-ranked side left in the competition. Lewes, who thrashed Cardiff City 6-1 in the fifth round, are seventh in the Women’s Championship, three places below Birmingham.

Holders Chelsea, currently 2nd in the WSL, face 11th place Reading while three-time winners Manchester City, currently 3rd in the WSL, were drawn away at 5th place Aston Villa.

Championship side Birmingham City host 10th place Brighton & Hove Albion in the other last-eight fixture.

The quarter-final games will be played on the weekend of 18-19 March.

Chelsea beat Manchester City 3-2 after extra-time to win last season’s final.
